Have you ever imagined your dream home?

Last year, Michael and Yara reached out to us.

They had just bought a beautiful piece of land facing the ocean, on the stunning island of Guadeloupe.
Everything seemed perfect. This was their dream.

And yet… something didn’t feel right.

They already had architectural plans, but they couldn’t fully project themselves into the space.
There was a subtle discomfort. A feeling they couldn’t quite explain.

Why?

During our first conversation, something immediately stood out to us.
The layout of the house didn’t align with the way they actually lived.

Their lifestyle, their habits, their vision of daily life…
None of it truly fit into the space that had been designed for them.

It felt like trying to fit a square peg into a round hole.

So we asked them simple questions:

How do you see yourselves living in this home?
What are your daily rituals?
What kind of life do you want this place to support?

Because a home should do more than look beautiful.

It should support you.
Hold you.
Protect you from the outside world.

Your home is a reflection of who you are — and who you are becoming.

Through deep conversations and a co-creative process, we slowly reshaped their project together.

Not just to build a house…
But to create a space that truly felt like theirs.

Because your dream home will never look like someone else’s.

We all have different lives, different needs, different ways of feeling and experiencing a space.

Your dream home is the one where you feel aligned, at peace, and deeply yourself.

At Akawell, we don’t design homes for you.
We design them with you.

And sometimes…
we help you dream even bigger than you thought possible.

Michael shared his experience of this journey in a short video.
